- 500 GMs Paneer cubed
- For batter
- 8 tbsps Maida / All-purpose flour
- 2 tbsps Cornflour
- About 6 tbsps/ 90 ml Water
- 1/8 tsp crushed black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp Garlic paste
- For deep frying
- Veg oil
- For Gravy
- 3-4 tbsps veg oil (use the oil used for frying)
- 1 tsp Chilli oil
- 2 medium sized onion chopped
- 10 Garlic cloves chopped
- Fresh Green & red chillies chopped as per preference
- 1/2 tsp Crushed Black pepper
- 2-3 tbsps Soya sauce or as per taste
- Salt as per taste, if required
- For Cornfour slurry
- 3 tbsps Cornflour
- 15 tbsps /225 ml of water
- For Garnishing
- Green onions/ Green Coriander (whatever available)
Steps to make to make Chinese style Chilli Paneer
- Prepare the batter. Heat oil in a kadai. Dip the paneer cubes in the batter and coat it with batter and deep fry all the paneer, do not overcrowd the oil. Keep it on a kitchen tissue paper to absorb the extra oil.






- Prepare all the ingredients.



- Heat oil in a wok / kadai and add the garlic and onion and saute it, cook till it is translucent..then add the chilli oil too and saute it, add in the chillies too. Then add in the fried paneer and mix well but gently.



- Add black pepper and soya sauce and salt if required. Make the cornflour slurry and add it and mix well immediately so that no lumps forms....cook for 3-5 minutes. Put it in a serving platter, garnish and serve it hot with fried rice or noodles. Bon Appetit!!
